Boyhood and Theory Of Everything Were Big Winners At The BAFTAS

The 68th Annual BAFTA Awards took place last night with Boyhood and The Theory Of Everything taking top honours…the winners of the main categories are as follows…

Best Film – Boyhood

Best Actor In A Leading Role – Eddie Redmayne (The Theory Of       Everything)

Best Actress In A Leading Role – Julianne Moore (Still Alice)

Best Director – Richard Linklater (Boyhood)

Best Original Screenplay – Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel)

Best Adapted Screenplay – Anthony McCarten (The Theory Of Everything)

Best Supporting Actor – JK Simmons (Whiplash)

Best Supporting Actress – Patricia Arquette (Boyhood)

Best Cinematography – Emmanuel Lubezki (Birdman)

Best Costume Design – Milena Canonero (The Grand Budapest Hotel)

Best Animated Film – The LEGO Movie

Best Film Not In The English Language – Ida

Outstanding British Film – The Theory Of Everything

One of the highlights of the evening was Prof. Stephen Hawking presenting an award and showing his humourius side sharing a joke with BAFTA host, Stephen Fry!!

Looking forward to the Oscars in a couple of weeks now…hoping Birdman can win a few more awards there!
